This morning little A. predicts that this is going to be the best day evah! When pressed for an answer as to why this is going to be the best day ever, she jumps out of bed and starts running around and sings loudly, "because I've got my running shoes ON!" Goofball. She got up before me and put her shoes on and got back in bed. In her five year old little pea brain, this is plain hysterical.
This is why I have cameras strategically hidden throughout my home. To capture silly spontaneous moments like these. I have been told that I am like the paparazzi. At any moment I could pop out from behind a LazyBoy and accost unsuspecting victims with my blinding flash. I have overheard little A. warning her friends not to do anything cute or funny, or else "my mom will take your picture." They shoot her a confused look as to why that would be a bad thing.
That being said, I am not the best about capturing "moments" that less happy. Like last night when Meemee decided that if she could not decorate Easter eggs, she would decorate her Easter dress. Honestly, I am not sure how to remove crayon marks. She had sticker sneezed the dress and finished it up with a couple of well positioned crayon flourishes. And she was most proud of herself. No. I did not take a picture. Not of of her. Not of her dress. Not of my priceless expression upon the Easter dress unveiling.
Thankfully, my sweet husband is around to remind me that we are a bunch of goofballs. He says that his children take after their mother. He thinks that all of this will keep give me plenty of material to scrapbook. and he's right (as always.) Thanks, dear.
