May started out with National Scrapbook day.  good.  We had some bad news more than once this month.  One wedding.  good.  oops.  TWO weddings.  double good. A couple of classes.  good.  One Kindergartener graduation.  sniffle.  (yes, I have cried and probably will shed a couple more sentimental tears over my big girl of whom I am so incredibly proud.)   Overall, a very emotionally draining month.

Honestly, this month seemed to last forever.  Goodbye, May.  Hello, June.  Dear June, please be gentle on my tender heart.  It could use a lot less excitement this month, if you would be so kind.  Thank you.

Attention Scrap Campers

Today, the schedule was announced for Scrap Camp at A Scrapbook Store for the Summer of 2007.  I am very excited to be teaching this year.  It is going to be so much fun.  We have had so much interest that I would strongly encourage you to not delay getting registered.  This is something you do not want to miss!  ~and space is limited. 

SUMMER SCRAP CAMP - 3 AGE GROUPS! ~June 25th - June 29th ~Itty Bitties (must be potty trained) 2-5 year olds Itty Bitties- My Big Picture Adventure Camp. We will be watching "Piglets Big Movie Adventure" video. We will complete one Pooh or Piglet 6 by 6 album about The People I Love (friends, family).Supplies will be mostly pre-cut. Families will help answer a list of questions. There will be some interview "homework"before the class begins!  Snacks will be provided daily. TIme: 9am-12 noon 5 days a week. $129. ~July 23rd - July 27th ~My Girls--- 5-10 year olds My Girls- We will complete one 6 by 6 album. Learn different techniques and apply to creating a one of a kind cool album about "my world." Students will take pictures of their world and use them in completing an entire album about the world around them. Snacks will be provided daily. Cameras will need to be picked up before class begins! Time: 9am - 12noon 5 days a week. $149  upgrades and extended hours available. See details below. ~August 6th - August 10th ~Tweens 10-14 year olds Tweens- We will complete one 6 by 6 album and an art journal. Learn different techniques, like doodling, to use in the creation of an album. The album will be  "All about Me".  Students will take pictures of their world and use them in completing an entire album about the world around them. Snacks will be provided daily. Cameras will need to be picked up before class begins! Time: 9am - 12noon 5 days a week.  $149.  upgrades and extended hours available.  See details below. General camp information: Each camp will Include a 6 by 6 Album, paper and embellishments to complete album, black pen, special pen, adhesive. You (just supply scissors). Afternoons with brown bag option available for My Girls and Tweens.   $5 until 3pm.  $10 until 5pm. This time is a free creative time.  Also, the store will play a movie. **Upgrades packages are available for My Girls and Tweens** The Royal Treatment. Includes one week of camp. Plus, an extra souffle or glitter pen, a personalized creativity apron, Stickles (glitter glue), extra embellishments and add-ons, and a mini tote $179 Total Diva. Includes one week of camp. Someday

Handprints. On the windows. On the doorknobs. On walls. Yes- even on floors.

Someday, I will look at a clean house. One that stayed clean for more than two minutes.

Someday, I will be able to walk from my sink to the fridge without stepping on a hotwheel car.

Someday, I will will move a chair to vaccuum underneath and NOT find dried apple cores, and rotten cheese sticks.

Someday, I will hold a phone conversation with a friend without being interrupted by fighting, whining, or a crash of some sort.

Someday, I will be able to go to the bathroom without someone barging in. =)

Someday, I will look out my windows and see outside clearly.

Today-- I trip over toys, can't keep a clean house, can't hold a decent conversation, can't pee in peace, can't look out my windows without seeing handprints...and smile.

Because SOMEDAY is going to come sooner than I want it to and I will long for what I have right now.

Feeling Nautical Today

This morning I was drowning in a sea of 2 and 3 year-olds.  (reminds me of sailing away, aka nautical.)

We had our Wee Scrapbook 2 class, and it was awesome.  We decorated door hangers.  They did such a great job.  I will get  some pictures up later, I promise. 

I just wanted to thank everyone who came out to play with their moms today.  And thanks to Elise for allowing us to have such a good time in her store.

Don't forget next month we are creating our own special creativity apron.  You will be able to wear this to our upcoming class or use it at home. 

Snackette

My children love to snack little nibblets as much as their mother.  my favorite thing to do is to fix a plate of grapes, crackers, pretzels,  you know, nibblets  or Snackettes.   A snackette is a snack only smaller in size but big fun!

Our new discovery is banana pudding snackettes.  We take Pepperidge farm mini chessman cookies and add a thin slice of banana.  Then top with a smidge of vanilla pudding.  (I cheat and use a pudding cup)  yummy!

Yes, I received mine yesterday.  Totally made my heart sing.   It is even cooler in person than the pictures I have seen.  Yes.  Even cooler.

I am not one to be excited about totes.  or even pocketbooks.   

But this is a different animal.  It's a creativity bag.

Weekend forcast

The weather man says it's a great day to take a class with me.

May 11 - Friday (6:00pm - 9:00pm) "A Day in the Life..." This is a 3 hour class. You will be working on a 2 page layout that shows a day in the life of you. What is our day like? How do we spend our time! This is a great way to scrap about you! COST: $15.00 (this includes everything you need for the 2 page spread)  Please bring your basic scrapbooking supplies and everyday pictures.

May 12 - Saturday (10:00am - 1:00pm) "Mother's Day Album Class" Each mother and child will make a mini-album! This will be a great way to spend the day with your child making and preserving memories! COST: $30.00 (this includes 2 completed albums)  Please bring basic scrapbooking supplies for you and your child.
