Holiday crafting.  loving all my little tags, cards and projects.  plain fun!

our Family. Week of waiting rooms.  This is the week that all the specialists align in the same week.  Every 2 months doctors, every 3 months, doctors every year doctors.  All in this one little week. fun!  today I sat down in the examination room with my sweet little A. and waited for yet another doctor.  It was only 10 minutes and I fell asleep sitting up with my glasses on.  I heard the dr. and A. giggling.  LOL  I cannot believe I fell asleep.  oops.

Fall days

Reuse, recycle but in scrapbooking?

What's your style?  This question is asked all the time.  Define your style.  It is like the question of the 70's, "what's your sign?"  I am not a fan of the question.  That being said, I have decided that my "style" is organic.  I love to reuse in my crafting.   I am notorious for snagging finds out of the trash heap for my scrapbooking.  It drives my sweet husband so crazy.  He affectionally calls me "Sanford."  as in the tv show junk man in Sanford and Son.

But recycling?  I have tried, unsuccessfully to make acid free paper from scraps of scrapbook paper.  I just discovered Paper Trunk, a scrapbook manufacturer that uses recycled paper.  Here is the Paper Trunk website.  I think you will appreciate their fun color combinations and beautiful designs.

Can you believe it?!  Recycling in scrapbooking.  How cool!

Goodbye sweet long holiday weekend

So today is our last day of fun and relaxation.  It has been a wonderful long holiday. 

Went to Black Friday sales before dawn.  Good! 

DH "stole" my car saying that he was "having some work done on it" for me.  when actually I suspect that he was making a weak attempt to curb my shopping spree.  Little did he realize that I was busy shopping (I mean, "saving us money") online.  Buwahaha! (<==evil laugh)  all Good.

Date night to a movie.  American Gangster.  Good.

Bowling and church today.  Good.

This time tomorrow all children and sweet husbands will be out from under my feet; back to school and work.  ~still Good. LOL   Gotta love Mondays.

Brisket, baby

All this talk of food is making me hungry. 

Recently, I found the Pioneer Woman Cooks blog.  This woman can not only write, but cook.  She makes me crave beef.  Not easy to do.

So today, I am making Brisket, baby.  yummm.  It is smelling so wonderful that I don't think I will be able to control my husband.  He likes it when I cook.

Yesterday, little A. and I made cherry crisp.  She is so proud of herself she could pop.  So so cute.  I love that girl.  She did a great job.

On Wednesday, little A. and I are making pecan pies.  mmmm.  I cannot wait!  I love pecans.  I always nibble.  I am so naughty!

But if you are interested in learning more about Fiskars great tools, making money at doing something that you are passionate about, enjoy meeting other crafters, or just like to teach,  then you may make a great demonstrator for Fiskars.

Kelly is just as delightful in person as she has been on line.  She is so much fun to be around, intelligent, articulate, and real.  I am glad that Kelly thought to get this shot.  We went most of the weekend before we had our picture taken together.  and I am so glad that we did.  Spending time with Kelly and Terri made an awesome weekend, even better.

Help! I've been You-Tube'd!

When we were in San Antonio, I was stalked by a crazy man named Spike from Brains on Fire with a video camera.  (well, he is no crazier than me, truth be told.)  and,ok, they stalked all the Nifty Fifty,   not just me.  But I have a whole new perspective on reality TV.  Spike captured me breaking out in song, crying until I was splotchy, and many doing other crazy things.  True story.  Fortunately, it seems that those more embarrassing moments did not make the cut. (yeah!)
